For the second straight year, former Cumberland High all-stater Ben Drezek proved victorious at the Arnold Mills Road Race. The U-Mass Lowell grad, who now competes for the Tracksmith Racing Team, won Tuesday’s race with a course record of 19 minutes, 2.60 seconds. Bishop Hendricken alum and 2021 winner Nick Celico once again took runner-up honors with a time of 19:40.40.
Rory Sullivan, a senior-to-be at Saint Raphael Academy, was the first female to cross the line, averaging six-minute pace with a 24:03.70 clocking, good for 35th overall. Danielle Doyle of Richmond was second and 38th overall in 24:20.70.
The 55th annual event had a near record 620 entries and 568 finishers.
