We got some good news and some bad news.
Let’s start with the bad news. The summer is nearing its close in just a couple more weeks. But fret not, the good news is the cross-country season is just around the corner. The first official day of practice is Monday, Aug. 21. Just a couple of weeks later, our athletes will be in racing mode with the season-opening Injury Fund Carnival, set for Sept. 2 at Deerfield Park in Smithfield. Below is a full schedule of in-state meets as well as some popular out-of-state competitions. We’ve also listed the schools in each class as proposed by the RIIL.
In the next few weeks, we’ll preview what to expect this season by focusing on our top teams and athletes.
