Furnace Brook’s Graham Devaney won a close race to take the boys’ sixth-grade division. Devaney was timed in 7 minutes, 33.8 seconds for the 1.25-mile course, just three seconds ahead of Peter Couglin, Furnace Brook won the team title with a 65-92 victory over second-place Chariho.

Hope Highland’s Evelyn Yanovich coasted to the girls’ sixth-grade crown, breaking the tape in 8:03.1. Moses Brown’s Priva Addai was second at 8:17.8. Winning the team title was Hope Highland with a 58-66 decision over Furnace Brook.

North Cumberland’s Shea Maher emerged victorious in the girls’ seventh-grade race, the first event of the day. Maher was clocked in 7:47.8. Finishing second was teammate Caylee Kurbec in 7:49.2. The Northmen edged Cole, 52-55 for the title.

Cole’s Ben Casey was the first to cross the line in the boys’ seventh-grade race. Casey was timed in 7:25.2. Placing second was Whitinsville Christian’s James Bourguignon in 7:27.1. Cole earned the team prize, breezing to a 50-90 win over second-place Boston College High.

Robert Adam’s Lucy Downin collected the hardware in the girls’ eighth-grade race. Downin was timed in a triumphant 7:29.6. Thomas Prince’s Annika Kindori took the silver in 7:37.1. Robert Adams captured the team title, defeating Thomas Prince, 46-49.

Breaking away midway into the race, North Cumberland’s Cooper Magill took the eighth-grade boys’ race with a time of 6:44.8. He beat fierce rival Kingston Bayha of Warwick, who was second in 6:51.9. BC High captured team honors with 71 points. Cole was second with 107.
