Let’s not forget what’s happening out west
Two weeks after earning a qualifying spot in New York, La Salle Academy’s Marshall Vernon and Portsmouth’s Sean Gray are lining up with some of the nation’s finest on Saturday afternoon for the Nike Cross Nationals, held at Glendoveer Golf Course in Portland, Ore. This will be the third time in the last three years that Rhode Island has had representation at NXN. Former Saint Raphael standout Rory Sullivan earned a trip last year. In 2022, the Saints star alum Devan Kipyego earned All-American status at NXN by finishing 15th overall in 15:11.20.
