
Each and every year throngs of runners make their way to Cumberland for a Fourth of July tradition that have been going on since 1969, the annual Arnold Mills Road Race. The 57th edition of the popular footrace, held this past Friday, had record numbers with 935 signups and 876 finishers on race day. Check out our race video below, won by former high school standouts Colin Bennie (Wachusett Regional) and Abbie McNulty (Bishop Feehan). Bennie established a new course record with a time of 18 minutes, 47.3 seconds. He led four under 19 minutes, including three-time winner and former record-holder Ben Drezek. McNulty, a Cumberland native, captured the women’s title by nearly two minutes with her time of 21:58.3.
