It’s time to shake off the cobwebs.
The 2025 cross-country season officially kicks off on Saturday with the annual Injury Fund XC Carnival. The statewide competition will once again take place at Deerfield Park in Smithfield. The meet includes six varsity races (boys and girls) along with two freshmen races.
As always, Ocean State Running will be there with complete coverage, while Marathon Sports will be on site selling T-shirts and other gear.
Below is the full schedule, beginning with the Varsity 1 Girls — the Caswell Race — at 9 a.m., highlighted by two-time defending state champion Cumberland. Medals will be awarded to the top 21 in each varsity race and to the top 50 finishers in the freshmen competitions.
