Two days. Twenty races. Countless personal records ready to fall.
That’s what’s in store this weekend at the 17th annual Ocean State Invitational, one of the region’s largest cross-country meets. Sponsored by Marathon Sports and New Balance, the event takes over Goddard State Park in Warwick for nearly 10 hours of intense competition. Ocean State Running will be on-site both days, covering the middle school races Friday and the high school showdowns Saturday.
Schools from several states will be competing at this year’s meet. Among the states that will be represented are Massachusetts, Connecticut, New Hampshire, Maine, Vermont, New York, New Jersey and, of course, host Rhode Island.
