Injury Fund Relay Carnival Kicks Off Winter Campaign on Saturday

While we still have two of our runners continuing their cross-country seasons out in Portland, Ore., this weekend with La Salle’s Marshall Vernon and Portsmouth’s Sean Gray competing at the Nike Cross Nationals, the rest of the state is focusing on indoor track. The season officially started on Monday with the competition portion of the winter campaign just five days later on Saturday with the RITCA Injury Fund Relay Carnival at the PCTA Fieldhouse.

Introduced at this meet will be the new division format, which has the same schools for boys and girls occupying the same divisions, the Bayha, Headley, Dwyer and Sullivan divisions. On Saturday, Bayha and Headley are slated for 12 p.m., while Dwyer and Sullivan will start at 4 p.m.

Ocean State Running will be on site at the PCTA, taking care of all the action. Out in the lobby, Marathon Sports will selling T-shirts, hoodies and other cool merch.
