A much-needed break for most of our track & field athletes (and coaches, too!) is coming to a close.
The outdoor season will soon be kicking into gear.
We’re not joking, here. On April 1, the 55th annual Knights of Columbus Four-Mile Relays gets it all started on a competitive level at Conley Stadium. Per usual, the K of C Relays will include a series of boys’ and girls’ 4xMile races, a Freshmen Mile, the Hammer Throw and a Special Olympics 4×400-meter relay. Registration closes on Monday. Just two days after the Relays on April 3, the league season begins with nearly a dozen multi-school meets taking place throughout the state. Below we feature a complete schedule of invitational and championship meets, including the class and state meets. For teams and athletes that want to venture across the border for something a little different, our sister site, Bay State Running, will be hosting its inaugural BSR Mid-Season Classic, sponsored by Marathon Sports and HOKA. This meet will be held on Friday, April 21, at St. John’s Prep in Danvers, MA. The meet will feature the 400m, 800m and mile. In addition to Massachusetts, the Mid-Season Classic is sanctioned for RI, CT and NH. The meet offers unlimited entries for schools with no qualifying standards required. The mile will include a Championship Race based on the top seeds. Registration will be up soon on Direct Athletics.
