It was yet another eventful season for our RI track & field athletes. Throughout the summer months, Ocean State Running will feature some of our most memorable performances during the outdoor campaign. Here we feature Barrington’s Ellie Noonan.
With two athletes over 11 feet and an additional four more at 10 feet, this spring proved to be our best one yet for the pole vault. Noonan finished the season as the best of them all by clearing a PR of 11-6 to capture her specialty at the State Meet, a best by six inches! The Eagles senior certainly had the competition to push her. Finishing second at 11-feet even was runner-up and Ponaganset junior Amber Shaw.
