FFrom last year’s State Meet, six of the top 10 returnees are back on the trails—among them is Lucy Stowe.
The North Kingstown junior, alongside teammate Abbie Tighe, forms a formidable duo for the Skippers. Stowe enjoyed a strong sophomore season, steadily improving as the year went on. Her campaign was highlighted by a fifth-place finish at the State Meet, where she ran a personal best of 18:28.96 at Ponaganset—more than 20 seconds faster than her previous times. A few weeks earlier, she posted a similar mark, clocking 18:48.59 over 5K at the fast Cape Cod Fairgrounds course during the MSTCA Bob Glennon Twilight Invitational.

Stowe also excelled in track last spring, winning the Class A 3,000 meters in 10:20.55 and placing third in the loaded 1,500-meter race, where she recorded a personal best of 4:38.47. She enters the current cross-country season ranked No. 1 after capturing her race at the Injury Fund Carnival with a time of 19:00.89.
Don’t countg Stowe out from making some noise come championship time.
