As they toe the line at Nike Cross Regionals Northeast this weekend, Rhode Island teams have a real opportunity to make a statement against the region’s best. The top two teams in the Championship race, along with the top five individuals not on qualifying teams, will earn berths to Nike Cross Nationals on Dec. 6 in Portland, Oregon. Judging by state’s top entries for Saturday’s meet at Bowdoin Park in Wappingers Falls, N.Y., several athletes and teams could be in the mix for tickets to the national meet.
