State Running Team To Provide Video Coverage Of New England’s

Our top runners and teams will be heading down to Belfast, ME, this weekend for the 88th annual New England X-C Championships.

And so will our State Running Team.

Just like we did here in Rhode Island with Ocean State Running, our sister site from New Hampshire, NH Cross Country and Track & Field (nh.staterunning.net) will be providing video coverage (w/commentary) of Saturday’s meet. They’ll be joined by our Connecticut site, My Sports Results (ct.staterunning.net) at the Troy Howard MS XC course.

The Ocean State will be sending down a strong contingent to the regional competition, which features schools from New Hampshire, Connecticut, Vermont, Maine and RI. The top six teams at last Saturday’s State Meet and individuals were among the first 25 finishers and not on a qualify team earned a ticket to this weekend’s competition.

On the boys’ side, Portsmouth’s Sean Gray, Narragansett’s Cole Francis, Mount St. Charles’ Ethan Fadden, Smithfield’s Jason Padula, Smithfield’s Michael Goodsen, and North Kingstown teammates James Masterson and Gavin Shipperley will toe the line along with squads from Bishop Hendricken, Cumberland, Barrington, La Salle and Ponaganset.

For the girls, the individuals are St. Raphael’s Rory Sullivan, the overall winner, Chariho’s Erin vonHousen, Pilgrim’s Keaney Bayha, Mount Hope’s Jessica Deal, Narragansett’s Madeleine O’Neill, Classical’s Grace Doyle, Toll Gate’s Alison Pankowicz, Mount St. Charles’ Emmy Belvin, St. Ray’s Chandanley Boyce, Portsmouth’s Allie Kaull, and South Kingstown’s Sofia Caito. Representing our teams are Cumberland, La Salle Academy, North Kingstown, East Greenwich, Moses Brown, and Barrington.
