OSR To Highlight Top Performances Of Spring

The one constant about our RI track & field athletes is they always keep us busy with some great material to write about at Ocean State Running. Just like previous seasons, this spring was no different. We certainly had our share of memorable moments. The recent New Balance Nationals produced four national titles with half of them coming in the girls’ sprinting events by one very talented sophomore from West Warwick, who broke two of her own start records in the 100- and 200-meter dashes. At the Nike Outdoor Nationals, a graduating senior from Chariho concluded her high school career with PRs in all three events she participated during the the three-day meet, including erasing her own state mark in the 2K steeplechase. On the boys’ side, we has a 47-second 400m, a 4:10 mile and a sub 3:20 4x400m among some top achievements. These are just few of the special performances that our athletes attained this outdoor campaign.

Beginning soon, we’ll be recognizing those performances and plenty more on OSR. Just another reason to keep us tuned in throughout the summer months.
