Meet Hub: RIIL State Indoor T&F Championships (Live Results)

Here we are. It’s that time again. The best of the best inside the PCTA field house on Saturday for the RIIL State Indoor T&F Championships.

Teamwise, it looks like we could have a battle for both the boys’ and girls’ meet. Defending champion Barrington and perennial power La Salle Academy appear to be the contenders for the boys with Bishop Hendricken a solid third. Two-time defending titlist West Warwick is the favorite for the girls, but expect some strong efforts from North Kingstown and Classical. Individually, recent national 60-meter record-holder Lisa Raye of West Warwick is once again entered in four events, all of which she holds the No. 1 seed. Will we see more record performances from the Wizards’ gifted junior, who seems to set one ever time she races? How about the weight throw competition? The 80-foot mark could be achieved this weekend with 1-2 seeds, Shamrock Thoun of Woonsocket and Jack Harmon of North Kingstown less than a foot from the milestone. The girls’ event features 10 throwers that have exceeded 50 feet. That competition is also a must-see event.
