The unofficial kickoff to the cross-country season will be on full display this Saturday, when teams from throughout the state descend on Deerfield Park in Smithfield for the annual Injury Fund XC Carnival.
The wait is over. It’s time to race.
The meet begins at 9 a.m., beginning with the William Johnston III Race, featuring our defending boys’ state champions Bishop Hendricken. It concludes at 12:30 p.m., with the Caswell Race, led by reigning girls’ titlist Cumberland High. Below is a complete list of all the races with the respective school that are scheduled to compete this weekend.,
Of course, Ocean State Running will be there, covering all the action. Marathon Sports will also be on site, selling all kinds of merchandise, including meet T-shirts.
