HOKA Male Athlete Of The Week: Ethan Knight, Barrington

The first state qualifier proved to be a big success with Saturday’s Classical Classic giving us a good glimpse of what to possibly expect at the State Meet next month. With so many great performance turned in by our track & field athletes, we had a number of worthy contenders for this week’s HOKA Male Athlete of the Week.

After much thought, we’d like to congratulate Barrington’s Ethan Knight for this week’s honor. Knight produced a championship-like performance inside Conley Stadium by sweeping the hurdles events, both times with school records and all-time bests. The Eagles’ junior edged North Smithfield’s Aidan Bienvenue in the 110-meter hurdles with a winning time of 14.77 seconds to Bienvenue’s 14.87 effort, He came back a little more than an hour later to take the 300m IH with a time of 39.90, more than two seconds ahead of Bienvenue, who nabbed the runner-up spot again at 41.20.
