HOKA Athletes Of The Week: Cumberland Girls’ 4x800m & Woonsocket Boys’ Weight Throw Relay

The indoor season kicked off this past Saturday with the annual Injury Fund Relay Carnival and from that meet we have our first two recipients of the winter campaign for our HOKA Athletes of the Week. Congratulation to the members of the Cumberland 4×800-meter relay and the Woonsocket weight-throwers relay for this week’s honor. In the Bayha-Dwyer Division, the Clippers’ foursome of Addison Buchanan, Kiley DeFusco, Charli McCue and Rose Tuomisto combined for a strong, early-season time of 10 minutes, 4.48 seconds. The Blue & White, who were third at last year’s State Meet, captured the 4×8 title during the outdoor season. The Villa Novans trio of Adam Beaudry, Shamrock Thoun and Alex Bonilla, won the Northern-Southern Division meet with a combined distance of 167 feet, 6 inches. All three throwers came through with PR efforts in the season-opener with Beaudry unleashing the weight 61-3.25, Thoun hitting 57-10.5, and Bonilla at 48-5.
