HOKA Female Athlete Of The Week: Dasani Stewart, Pilgrim

The division championships occupied this past weekend where, per usual, a number of our athletes shined their brightest, some with hopes of bringing prosperity in their respective school’s quest for winning a team title, others with a focus on qualifying or increasing their seed for next month’s State Meet. Yet again, it was not easy picking our HOKA Athlete of the Week for boys or girls.

For this week’s female recipient, we’d like to congratulate Dasani Stewart of Pilgrim for this week’s honor. The versatile senior has become one of our state’s top jumpers over the last few years, highlighted by an indoor state long jump title this past winter. At the Central Division Championships on Saturday, Dasani swept the leaping events with victories in the long, triple and high jumps. In the long and triple, she had state-leading distances of 18 feet, 2 inches and 37-6.5, respectively. She cleared 4-10 in the high jump.
