Throughout the year, Ocean State Running will recognize our top boys’ and girls’ athletes each and every week. Without further adieu, we’d like to congratulate Tolman’s Youton Doe, who we nominate as the HOKA Male Athlete of the Week.
The way the season has been going so far, it looks like the 400-meter run could be one of the more exciting events to watch at next month’s State Meet. Doe is certainly someone that can’t be ignored for individual honors. The Tiger senior moved to No. 1 in the state rankings by capturing the one-lapper at Saturday’s St. Germain Invitational. Doe held off Hendricken’s Jacob Coates down the stretch to win with a time of 49.62.
