It was a big day for several of our Ocean State athletes at the New England Championships this past Saturday, most who were prepping for the upcoming national meets that are on agenda over the weekend.
For this week’s female recipient of the HOKA Athlete of the Week, we nominate for the second straight week, West Warwick’s Lisa Raye. The Wizards’ outstanding freshman folllwed up a four-win State Meet with three more victories at the New England’s. Raye captured the 100-meter dash, 200m and 300m hurdles where she established a new state record of 43.06.
