Two meets, nearly two hours apart from each other, produced this week’s HOKA Athletes Of The Week. Congratulation to Cumberland’s Sam Henderson and St. Raphael Academy’s Rory Sullivan our respective male and female honorees. Henderson certainly made a statement this week down in New Hampshire. Competing at the 48th annual Manchester Invitational, the Clipper junior was sixth overall in the Large School race where he was timed in 15 minutes, 41.2 seconds on a very challenging 5K course at Derryfield Park. As for Sullivan, she earns this week’s honor for the second time this early season after her performance at the 16th annual Ocean State Invitational. The SRA senior placed 15th overall in the featured Championship race, crossing the line in 18:37. Sullivan was also our HOKA AofW two weeks ago when she struck gold at the Vineyard XC Invitational.
