The youngest of our runners take center stage at Deerfield Park on Monday, site of the Freshmen State Championships.
Ocean State Running will be on site for the meet, providing complete coverage. The girls are scheduled for 4:30 p.m., followed by the boys at 5. Could we see a record in the girls’ and/or boys’ race at the Smithfield venue? In 2021, Cumberland’s Kylie DeFusco set the current 4K mark for girls with a time of 15:05.5. Lincoln’s Logan Hallwell also established a new mark in 2021 by clocking a winning 13:28.80 in the boys’ competition.
