The Ocean State will have a strong contingent at upcoming New Balance Nationals Indoor Championship. The four-day meet, held Thursday to Sunday at the TRACK at New Balance, includes more than 50 RI athletes and relays teams with several having a legit chance to make the podium in the Championship and Freshmen divisions, a few with a shot at earning gold.
We scanned through the entries to find all our local athletes. That proved to be a difficult task, especially considering that the athletes were listed under club teams rather than their high school squads. Below is a list of who we found. If we missed any, which we’re sure we did, please let us know and we’ll add to the list.
Throughout the week, Ocean State Running will highlight the top athletes that will be competing against the nation’s best.
