HOKA Female Athlete Of The Week: Lisa Raye, West Warwick

As to be expect, even the dismal weather didn’t effect the performances of our track & field athletes at the State Meet this past weekend. While PRs may have been less than in previous competitions and meet and state records remained untouched, there was still many great efforts, many exciting head-to-head competitions and a fair share of dominance displayed by our elite stars.

Is there even an argument on the athlete we picked for our female recipient of the HOKA Athlete of the Week? Congratulations to West Warwick’s fantastic freshman Lisa Raye, who we’ve chosen for this week’s honor. Raye captured an unprecedented four individual titles at Saturday’s meet, leading the Wizards to their first-ever state crown. Raye, whose 40 points scored would have placed her seventh among the 30 teams that competed at this weekend’s competition, was the first across the line in the 100-meter dash, 200m, 100m high hurdles and 300m IH.
